Having experienced firsthand the impact of educators who believed in her, encouraged her, and helped shape her future, Wanessa understands that a single teacher can change the trajectory of a life. Those experiences not only inspired her journey in education but continue to shape how she serves students, empowers teachers, and leads with purpose.

From the classroom to educational leadership, she has witnessed the transformative power of education from every perspective: as a student, a teacher, and a district leader.

What began as a personal letter to the teacher who changed her life soon became something bigger. After seeing how one story of gratitude resonated with others, Wanessa launched The Power of a Teacher to create a space where educators, mentors, counselors, and leaders receive the recognition they deserve.

Through meaningful conversations, listener-submitted letters, and stories of impact, she is building a community that celebrates the people who inspire, encourage, and transform lives every day.
